The 341 Hearing
341 Hearing or the "341 Meeting" is the first meeting of creditors held by the trustee, usually between 20 and
40 days after you file your petition.
- The trustee and the creditors question you under oath about your property and debts.
- You must cooperate with the trustee in providing any requested information.
- Creditors have 60 days after the 341 Meeting if they have any objection to convince the Bankruptcy Court why you shouldn't
be allowed to cast your debts away.
- If there is no equity in your house the trustee in a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy will let you keep it, as long as you keep the
mortgages current.
